    The network switch install was just an upgrade of our infrastructure and really only happens once every five years or so. Otherwise my job is comprised of standard computer/network administration stuff that’s not nearly as hands on.

    We only enabled the ports on the patch panels for rooms or cubes that were actually occupied, but it didn’t really matter which ports on the new switches were used.

    what, sounds like nou never tryed to clean a Rack!
    unless you have the budget to buy the expensive cable organisers for those racks, it IS pretty hard to keed claean!

    I feel sorry for those guys.. Unless they are responsible for that rats nest to begin with. Keep a clean rack.. It’s not that hard.
